Steel Grade Identifier
Different grades of stainless steel have varying resistance and strength against rust, acid, and tension. They are categorized into series codes such as 200, 300, 400, etc. The 200 series codes have lower nickel content and thus lower quality. Some industry professionals recommend them due to their lower price, but these series lose their glaze and beauty over time when exposed to outdoor environments or steam, and rust stains become visible. The steel identifier determines the grade of stainless steel in terms of rust resistance.

This product is often used to identify codes 201 and 202 and generally types of 200 series stainless steel that lack nickel.
Usage Instructions:
To test oxidation resistance, place one or more drops of the solution on a corner of the stainless steel and wait for 90 seconds.
If the stainless steel is from the 200 series or lacks sufficient nickel, the drop will gradually change color, first to pink, then dark red, and finally black.
If no color change is observed, the alloy in question is of high quality.
Usage
Practical tips :
It is better to place the drop on the back of the stainless steel sheet to avoid any potential effect of the solution on the visible surface.
After the result is determined, wipe the drop off the surface with a wet cloth.

Use gloves.
Avoid inhaling the vapor and ingesting the solution.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Avoid direct contact with food.
Reusing chemical containers for other purposes is never recommended.
